My name is Laura Moretti I am a young lecturer at the Department of East Asian Studies of Universita Ca' Foscari (Venice - Italy). My research focuses on Japanese Literature of the Edo period (1603-1867) with particular regard to its prose production. My approach gives prominence to primary sources, working mainly on original manuscripts and printed texts of that epoch. For me textual bibliography and filology, traditionally weighned by Japanese critics, work together with literary theory studies (mainly narratology). Hence, always choosing as starting point of my projects the publication of critical editions of unpublished texts, I am currently working on three main aspects of Edo period literature: the identity of narrative, the meanings of intertextuality and the role of humour. ラウラ・モレッティと申します。現在ヴェネツィア大学専任講師として勤めております。1998年にヴェネツィア大学東アジア研究科（日本学専攻）を卒業してから、2003年に同大学で博士学位取得を致しました。同時に、1999年から2001年まで国費研究生として東京大学で学びました。2002年から2005年までヴェネツイア大学で非常勤講師として教え、2005年12月より現職に勤めて参りました。専攻は近世文学であり、主に仮名草子に集中しております。未紹介の作品の翻刻、注釈や諸本研究を行いながら、文学理論より得られるツールを使って作品分析を進めております。所謂日本国内研究の仕方と日本文学海外研究の仕方の間における中間的な研究法を使ってみております。現時点では近世文学におけるnarrativeの意味、テキスト相互連関性、仮名草子から生まれた種々の文学系譜、滑稽の様々なメカニズムは主な研究テーマです。
